FPG FOR76 SmartPak Combat Deployment Bag

This bag will change the way you loadout and pack!

The SmartPak is the most versatile bag in the FPG arsenal in adapting your loadout into a 'Carry On' capability.

This is far from a tradiitional duffle style bag....first, it is fully padded and holds shape like all FPG deployment bags...

To add to this, we incorporated our Original Design FPG 'SmartPak' System! No more floppy bags with awkward loads shifting like a sack of potatoes.

SmartPak orgainzes your loadout into two vented chambers inside / along the sides...with two additional external 'Dry Pockets' on the ends that enable you to pack wet muddy kit (boots/socks/jackets) while keeping it isolated from the dry stuff inside your main body.

  1. Load Out Bag

Posted by Eric Townsend on 21st Nov 2016

I purchased this bag to carry tools and supplies for some of the special projects I am in charge of. So far it seems durable. It is holding the 80 lbs of stuff I crammed into it.

  2. One Helluva Duffle Bag!!!

Posted by R. Gutierrez on 18th Aug 2013

I initially came across FPG products at a vendor showcase and was extremely impressed with all the bags and storage kits being displayed. The amount of care and thought that goes into making these bags is undeniable, hence the old saying goes "You get what you pay for." I have previously purchased bags, duffels, luggage, etc from companies all claiming to be tough, sturdy, carefully laid out, yadda yadda but not one has made good on their claim. I think I have found one company that can stand behind their word-FPG!
This duffle is a beast! You can feel the quality in the zippers, the stitching, the denier cordura, the backpack straps, all of it! For those of you who are used to the old olive drab green classic duffel that thing is old news, it is flimsy and has zero organizational features to it. This bag has padding in the walls and bottom of the bag so it will stand up on its own (unlike many predecessors) however is not so stiff that it cannot be made to lay flat. The compromise is perfect between having structure and being packable. The end compartments are size able and could easily fit 2 pairs of shoes in each or a set of boots with room to spare or a helmet with room to spare. The interior compartment is bigger than you think, seriously! and the method of loading out the side mesh pockets to give the bag even more structure is definitely the way it should be done. Even with the mesh interior pockets loaded out there is still sufficient space to fill any gear you may need.
I give this bag 4.5 stars only because I expected the top grab handle to have some cushioning, even it were just a little bit. Also I thought that maybe there could have been a smaller mesh or document pocket on the inside of the top flap-that space just looks like it is itching for a pocket to be there. I am a little indifferent about the lack of a shoulder carry strap; I understand that due to the size of the duffle and the potential to carry a significant amount of gear that a person would want/need to carry the pack with the backpack straps so as not to cause a strain on his or her back and shoulders. I just think that if there is a top carry handle then a shoulder strap should be available also. Other than those very minimal things and I mean minimal the bag is Superb. I will DEFINETLY be purchasing the FOR 68 Deployer XP next!

  3. Beats the seabag drag!

Got this for a USMC deployment in addition to the deployer bag. It truly is versatile. Fits everything I need comfortably and the the separated pockets inside are perfect for separating dirty skivvies and uniforms from the clean ones. It's great for FOB hoping as we so commonly do.
